Making backing tracks with RipX and Mixcraft
This video shows a simple use of RipX DAW and Acoustica Mixcraft to making backing tracks you can play along with.
A note on the audio when I was playing back the mix in Mixcraft.
I was using a cheapo USB mic for speaking and so the playback sound from the mic was not good.
The stereo mix sound I hear is from a 500 watt per channel Crown amplifier going into two 300 watt speakers and it sounds great.
So the sound you hear in the video is not how the mix really sounds.

    This looks a lot like the cruise control in my 2019 Transit. The previous owner installed it so I can't confirm for sure that it's the same. I was wondering how your cruise control works going up hills. It makes my van go into a very high rpm low gear. I mean these are just slight hills so nothing real steep. I always turn off the cruise control when it does this on the hills.

    • @EL34XYZ
      @EL34XYZ 8 месяцев назад

      The cruise control I installed still works great. As for hills, my van does accelerate up hills. It may go up 2-3 mph when going up hills. I just ignore that unless it speeds up above the speed limit and I can't see if there is a police car sitting somewhere monitoring speeds.

      A Piccardy Third is when you take a song in a minor key, and end it with a major chord. I checked on Wikipedia, and it has a lot of stuff on the subject; it was first noted in the 18th century. You hear it in pop music every now and then, and there is even a Black Sabbath tune that ends like that; I can't remember which one, but it's from their third or fourth album. Anyway, it''s a cool effect, and you did a great job overall, in my opinion.

      It's a cool machine for sure. It was a fun project. Good luck if you decide to build one. The hardest part is getting the gearing really low so you have lots of power. Some sort of gear box would be way better than all the bike gears I used.
